Do most physicists "believe" in the holographic universe theory?

There is quite a lot of evidence to support these theories, it's not just guesswork. However, they are still theories and are as yet unproven. I do like the idea of the holographic principle though, it's very interesting. (and quite confusing). If one thing is known for certain, it's that reality is nothing like the mental image that our eyes and brains create to function within it.
