I'm looking for a scope for my socom 16?

I am pretty comfortable with iron sights especially on this gun but for hunting vermin its just easier to have a scope. the problem is the setup of the m1a. it is an amazing workhorse of a gun but getting the right scope can be... well challenging... especially for someone with exact requirements. I need a scope that I can quickly change range with (mil dot/two dot x-bow style) preferably in a short "red dot" style mount... obviously a very good eye relief of either unlimited or over 3-4 in. and I would like the option of a zoom, it doesn't have to be over 3 or 4x but just a little zoom would be nice, also if its red dot it has to be able to be used without batteries (there's nothing I hate worse than a dead battery operated sight) which of course means NO holographic sights my opinion is strong on holo sights... but anyway those are my scope requirements any suggestions let me know and also I've seen a lot of split scope style sights on the m1a how does this fair with anything other than target shooting? (at angle/quick focusing/moving target...)
